...Nick from Evo asks him about his Pagani Zonda and his face lights-up. He gushes over the details, the noise, the manual gearshift. He's not a Huyara fan. 'They took me out in it and it's all the turbo and it's… It just whoooosh… There is that big whoosh sound to it, which I don't like.'

He's more energised, he's talking feeely. Natural aspiration. 'I remember my first time in a Formula One was here at the the national circuit with McLaren in, in 2006 I think it was, in the V10 – 21,000rpm, it was frigging amazing. It just kept going.'

Harris' complete article below. Nico comes off as smart and nice; Lewis as a dick, but Harris still admires him for his focus on winning.

I think people don't really understand Lewis very well. He seems incredibly passionate, driven and focused on one thing and one thing only and that comes across as if he's arrogant and spoiled. I think he's just not fully socially developed, which is still a fault, but I don't think he's actually as narcissistic as it's fun to act like he is.

I think it was more comparing sounds than overall attitudes on NA vs Turbo. The Huayra is nowhere near as operatic in its audio as the Zonda he owns, and I say that as someone who really likes the Huayra. They accented the turbo noises, and that seems to divide opinion like it does in the P1 for some.

I didn't know he'd tested in a V10 car, though. I'm more jealous now! I don't care for the wannabe-rapper image or the wardrobe or the dogs or the faux-inspirational images/tweets, or even his GF, but the man's got a manual Zonda 760 and two world titles. I'd die happy just with those things, let alone his own plane or experiencing a V10 F1 car.

I see him as a person who worked really hard to get where he is. His father pushed him really hard with his karting and eventually it all paid off, and some people stay grounded and some let it get to their heads. I think a bit of both happens with Lewis, I think that after 2008 he was expecting a little bit more out of himself, but when it didn't transpire, he took it out on others. I didn't pay as much attention last season, but I didn't hear about him being to high on himself, but again, I wasn't paying as much attention. I'll endeavour to this year though.

What you said but I'd settle for one title and his Cobra!

I still dislike the guy but I don't doubt his talent.

Bingo, methinks. I think he takes his frustrations out on teams and other racers for sure. I've definitely heard people attribute this to Hamilton thinking he's the best ever or some crap like that. People also dislike how much he compares himself to Ayrton Senna, (although I think they drive fairly similarly and it's an apt comparison) and perceive that as egotistical. I think that after Spa this year he transformed his press appearance to being more focused on winning, although his costumes were a little ridiculous.
