This looks like a fun twist on the drag racing theme. You go as fast as you can and then have to immediately brake for a turn. The only thing I would change is the starting position. The outside lane seems to have the clear disadvantage in traction.

The outside lane also has further distance to cover. Why not let them just do a whole lap?

They do have a racing series that is a whole lap called "spectator drags". It's also pretty entertaining
