How do I tackle this?

Kinja'd!!!

Sorry for vertical pics, can't show the whole thing in landscape.

UPDATE: We decided not go. Thanks for the tips! I left the engine and defroster on since when I posted this and nothing's happened. Only the mirrors and rear window are now free of ice. Also, our driveway is pitched downwards towards the house. Even if I cleared the ice, we would've slid into the house or the garage or the deck support columns.

Oh my gosh. That is crazy. I'd consider trying to melt the tip of the icicle (where it meets the windshield with a hairdryer. Perhaps put air mattresses or a thick foam fold-out mattress in the glass/bodywork to prevent damage if it falls in the process. If you managed to separate the two, back the car out from underneath (very carefully) before bringing that icicle down from a safe distance.

Run the front defroster on full hot for a while, then get after it with an ice scraper.

Like a linebacker.

Defroster/heat gun, maybe with a pinch of rock salt if you're in a hurry.

Hair dryer. But to keep it from happening, you can't just patch where the water's coming out of, but where it's getting into the building in the first place.

It's actually under our deck, so it went between the wooden planks and onto the car lol.

Warmish water with a hair dryer and i'd wait to get in the caruntil that thing is detached to minimize the chance of having it crack the windshield. warm water should help.

That's tricky.

We're just going to go to Home Depot or something and buy a bunch of large rubber mats.

Get some wood or metal panels to hang under the deck to prevent it from dripping on the car. Angle it to run off it some other direction, or get real fancy and build a huge duct that goes to a gutter. It doesnt have to get in the way, it just needs a slight pitch to keep water rolling.

Yeah, we're just gonna buy a bunch of long rubber mats and lay them out on top of the deck.
