And ensure the existence of Jalops on FoRS for the rest of time.

It's the sad truth, but then again, if the sheeple who bought it didn't like it, then they can sell it, and if it's gone to NP, we'll buy it. And if sheeple like it, then we've turned them into one of us, who have seen the light that is Driving Pleasure.

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! to make the FoRS a success both in the cash register, the publications, and the hearts of Americans. A success enough to keep this car alive for about ten years.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

But how do we convince sheeple that the FoRS is both better than a Toyota or Honda commuting appliance?

May the FoRS be with you (after a reasonable amount of time and depreciation).

Anyone know how much? I'm guessing STi range?

I'm curious to see how the FoRS matches up against the FoST in sales. I can't get onto the launch site since apparently the servers can't handle the traffic (funny the ND launch didn't have this problem).

But from what it seems the FoRS will have a bit more power and awd plus the usual asthetic differences. Will that be enough to justify X added cost over getting a perfectly capable FoST?

Either way this could prove beneficial for a FoST fan to pick up a recently used one if the previous owner lusts after the FoRS.

What "sheeple" is going to pay $35k for a Focus? The only people paying that much are the ones that know what they're getting.

My guess is that the Focus ST lines up pretty directly with the Mustang GT in price. Will be interesting to see how well it wells, but I hope it's sales numbers are roughly the same as hotcakes.

I think they'd have a hard time asking more for it than a Mustang GT.

I'm not too worried, but then, I'm in the UK—I know these things sell here. Close to half of all the Focus RSes ever made are here.

This whole, 'Hey, we'll be able to get them cheap on the used market in ten years' thing probably isn't going to work out, though. The RSes are notoriously depreciation-resistant—and cars do not resist depreciation on the British used market.

Haha I guess so. Just looked, FoST starts at 24, the GT at 32. 28-30 perhaps?

Seems a reasonable guess.

Kinja'd!!!

If this goes for under 30k with everything included (tax, tags, title, extended warranty) I will be that sucker who buys it as full price.

I might be able to help you out. I am in fact a noted sheeperson. The lease on the FiST is up in about 14 months. This could be my next weekend warrior.

Well saying sheeple doesn't help.

And any cars MO is to have sales. duh. We could hope that the RS pushes the ST out and that way there is the Fiesta ST, Focus RS, Mustang and all of its variants. Everyone will be happier because right there is 3 different drivetrains in 3 different categories. About time. Now we just need Honda to get their balls up and make their EU version available in the US.
