a bit more tame than what I expected. Was hoping for a wider stance. That grille is kind of goofy... I'm just in it for the AWD and 2.3.

Alright Subaru, this is your last fucking chance to make a WRX and STI hatchback or else you're about to lose a shitload of business to Ford...

Seriously though, this thing looks awesome. As long as they didn't fuck the interior up with a bunch of big touch screens (get off my lawn!) and shitty button layout, this is a real winner.

I'm hoping we can use this radiator. I'm sure that it's a bigger radiator with better oil cooling and those must be functional brake cooling vents. Maybe they did something special to vent through the cowl. There is quite the over hang in there. Guys pull it out for track days.

Cyber security. It's one of the largest growing fields right now, and you're basically guaranteed a job before you even graduate.

Yeah, touch screens are definitely becoming more popular, but I still just don't like them. A button is tactile and you don't have to take your eyes of the road to hit a button, but with a touchscreen, I always feel like I have to look at it to make sure what I want to do is what I'm actually doing...

But a base ST is $23k, thats like 50% more! Not to mention that would mean a Mustang has 100 more hp at $5k less.

Good answer. I remember when my big brother graduated back in the day, all the engineering students chanted, "we have jobs!" at the ceremony. I went to art school, so "job" wasn't even in our vocabulary.

Yeah, I actually stumbled into the field, and wasn't even thinking about it when I enrolled in school. I was going for general computer science then I noticed my school offered the program and asked an adviser about it. Since I had done some minor computer mischief back in high school a job where you get paid to hack computers for a living seemed like a good fit. Now with all the vulnerabilities being exposed in our computer infrastructure the demand for people trained in securities is high and the demand will only rise as technology advances. Plus the field is relatively new there are only two schools in Oregon that really offer a degree in cyber security.

saw that! I've always loved the new one, and have always preferred RWD & V8. Just waiting on the RS, and now that we "know" what it is, I'm just not sold on it.

Kinja'd!!! K-Roll-PorscheTamer > citizennick
02/02/2015 at 23:54

Kinja'd!!!0

I've never had RWD or AWD as a DD, but today's attempt to escape my neighborhood for lunch in 8-12in of snow in a FWD hot hatch was just too much of a pain in the ass for me to want to have to deal with again. I know RWD isn't as good either, but still it's much more fun IMO.

Did you see the leaked price I posted? Starting at around $37k?? That's way too much for me, and even though an RS, still a Focus.

I'd more than likely go for the V6 because I don't like the sound of the EB and it better suits me as a sporty coupe with almost perfect weight distribution and 300hp. Also listen to this!

there's a base GT with the performance package at a dealership nearby. No sunroof, 6-speed, and guard green. Under 35k. Wish I still had access to Ford's X-Plan pricing. I think joining the Mustang Club gives you X-Plan though.

Kinja'd!!! K-Roll-PorscheTamer > citizennick

well, no need to get a car like that with all the snow on the ground! I would probably hold off until Chevy unveils the next Camaro.

Kinja'd!!! K-Roll-PorscheTamer > citizennick
02/03/2015 at 00:17

Kinja'd!!!0

If they ever do that! I was looking forwards to it at the auto show last month and was very disappointed that it never showed up. It may be on my list if a V6 is still a performance option and they've addressed the problems I have with the car.

And it only ever snows like this once or twice a year in Michigan. I think a couple days of peril are worth the other 350 or so days of freedom.

Kinja'd!!! citizennick > K-Roll-PorscheTamer
02/03/2015 at 00:22

Kinja'd!!!0

I was sure it would be there since its been out testing for awhile. I wish they styling was more different. All I'm hoping for is something smaller than the current model. I'll take the LSx/LT1 over the Coyote 5.0 all day.

Kinja'd!!! K-Roll-PorscheTamer > citizennick
02/03/2015 at 00:26

Kinja'd!!!0

Styling is one of my main issues! It must look somewhat different for me to actually want it. Not so blocky and more curves or something to not look like an old brick. Smaller size and lower weight is what I'm hoping for.

I'm not sure which V8 I prefer, I've never driven either, but I'm a Ford guy so I'm interested to see Ford's response to the Camaro in the next few years..

Kinja'd!!! citizennick > K-Roll-PorscheTamer

Kinja'd!!!0

if I didn't have a brother that specialized in building/tuning GMs I would be all over the Mustang, but I don't want buyers remorse, and him being like "hey, look, I just gained 40hp on this stock Camaro just by tuning it"

Cobb AP3, Cobb CAI, Cobb RMM, Levels intercooler, MBRP cat-less downpipe, MBRP cat-back, MBRP intercooler piping, Boomba short shift kit, and some pretty awesome LED taillights lol.

Kinja'd!!! K-Roll-PorscheTamer > citizennick
02/03/2015 at 00:49

Kinja'd!!!0

So lots of COBB and MBRP lol. What problems did you get?

And I'm guessing you bought the LED taillights from ebay or aliexpress? I thought about it but still too much money for what I'd pay for and if I had the spare income I would go with the Electric Focus LEDs.

I'm close to giving up on the 6th gen Camaro. It's not showing up at Chicago, we don't know if it'll be at the NY auto show, we'd have to wait almost half the year if not more, it better be damn well worth it.

Kinja'd!!! citizennick > K-Roll-PorscheTamer
02/03/2015 at 00:57

I didn't get my tune on til November, and it got cold, so I haven't had time to tweak it, but there's little issues here and there I need to try and get resolved. Feel like I might be in the same false knock boat as so many other owners.

Yeah I did, so far so good, too, seems like some guys have had issues with bulbs going out quickly.

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!! K-Roll-PorscheTamer > citizennick
02/03/2015 at 01:04

Kinja'd!!!0

I got mine in March and ran it until September when I sold it. The stock tune for stage 1 was torquey as hell, but I was using so much gas that it wasn't worth it to me any more and I wished I just had an actual V6 or V8. The ST doesn't even do that good on MPG so there's that too.

What are these "false knock" issues?

Those are the lights I wanted! They look fantastic with a silver car! But the quality was my main concern. I am happy to see some got some good ones in good shape like yours. :)
