Now that I'm in Detroit, I've got several friends that want to help me build my LeMons car. From the magical place of craigslist comes this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . This would be awesome, and it's only $1000.

complete REBUILT mid 1980s Jaguar V12 engine and auto trans-comes with origanal intakes and Stromberg carbs-and exhaust manifolds—- —-Great set up for that high miles Jag or hot rod -rat rod-custom car or truck -replica- kit car?
The Fury's engine bay is huge. It would fit from a slant 6 to a 440. Best/worst idea ever?

I would use that engine as a restomod/cruiser.

Someone has done it , it apparently sounds like an Indycar more than Hot Rod.
Fit a 440 or slant-six in the Fury. Those two are probably some of Mopar's better street engines.

that's not a 80's V12 beacause it has an "original" carburetorated intake on it and the 80's V12 debuted in 81 with lucas fuel injection
so either the intake isn't original or its not a 80's engine. Its probably the latter though
but there's very little difference between the years

I'll give you a serious answer. No.
Lemons is still racing. That poor motor will be expected to be at full throttle for hours at a time with comparatively high G force uncovering oil pickup. My prediction is it will last about three hours and either blow a head gasket or throw a bearing.
I suppose there is some glory in being the guy that invested huge time, money and their co-driver's entry money to enter and fail. Personally, I just don't see the justification of trying such a low probability endeavor.
One of the most abused terms in the english language is "rebuilt". Translation - I fixed this worthless 150,000 mile POS engine by putting one new rod bearing in without turning the crank. It still has the original headgaskets and all the other used up parts. But it shure cleaned up well. If you are lucky, it might run on the street. On the race track, junk.
BTW - I assume he is selling it because he is doing a well advised engine swap into the jag such as a small block.....

All the planning in the world cannot save you from the unpredictability of Lucas Electrics with the addition of Stromberg Carbs....
Shove a 318 LA motor or a 350 SBC in it and be done with it.

This is true, speaking as someone whose Volvo Amazon has Lucas electrics and came with factory Strombergs... So, to take one layer of evil out, I put in a Weber.
