It's just not very attractive. Granted it would likely be purchased by those who wouldnt know where the hood release lever is. But everything about it seems difficult to get to.

Kinja'd!!!

The battery is buried off the to left, airbox is buried under a reservoir. There's so much space... Probably because everything is buried and compacted.

That is all. Just thought I'd share.

That's worse than my neighbour's old Versa.

An engine cover couldn't hurt.

Wow. So was there a memo that went around "old" GM to make common service items as annoying as possible to access? Like a plan to make everybody go to the dealer? GM pickups from this era have a brace over the battery that seems to serve no purpose except to block the battery. It's not even replicated on the other side. And is there a special obsession with hiding mission critical parts under the cowl? Seriously, how do reach the rear plugs?

Oh god that brings back some bad memories. Working on these is awful. I've had the displeasure of replacing a head gasket on one. Almost seems easier to drop the drivetrain out first.

Welcome to the world of transverse mounted V engines, they all suck a giant dick. This is not GM exclusive.

GM seems to have a fetish for tucking stuff under the cowl. Same company that put the 5th gen Camaro's motor under the windshield.
