I wathced the hell out of this show back in the late 70s, and my friend and I even created our own space fleets from line drawings of WWI naval ships in encyclopedias. I still have those drawings somewhere. But what is the deal with this performance? I read the YT information, and saw that the singer was a huge performer in the anime world. But what about the concert? Was this a concert of anime music filled with fans, or was this song just so popular in Japan that a pop singer performing it would have gotten such an ovation?
