Recolored my door card centers from black to a dark chocolate brown. The picture shows it more of a tan color but it’s much darker than it appears.
Disassembled the door card, separated the top half, painted it with Krylon, waited 6 days for it to dry (WTF) and put a Rockford Fosgate speaker grille on. Here’s the other side which I have yet to do and am going to use a quick-dry Krylon paint and obscenely thin coats to paint.
This is what it looked like before. Bleh. Fabric speaker grille (rusty metal piece that went over it was broken), monotone errywhere, no character whatsoever. I want my car to look like a lush drawing room, goddammit, not an emo kid’s soul.

I think the major trouble part of the NA interior is the gauge cluster hood is so dang fragile. They love to break into pieces even if you just look at them in the wrong way.

Mine has miraculously not cracked. I don’t know how. But if they break it’s trivial to cover them with some sort of fabric or vinyl and make them look nice again.
