I usually throw a HotWheels or Matchbox in my sons’ stockings each year. Sometimes LEGO Technic or City, or a few minifigs. This year, my younger got a DRZ and my older got a Stratos.
Upon fishing the little Lancia out, I got.....
“OMG! Mom! A Strrrrraaaaaaah-tooooose! I love this car!! Have you seen the green and white livery? With the big light bar and side intakes? OMG OMG I love the Stratos!! Look! It even has the Lancia logo on the hood! Do you know how many rallye wins.......”
This went on for close to ten minutes. Ten minutes of endless Stratos minutiae. I picked it because he likes boxy cars. I had no idea he actually liked them. Maybe I managed to breed a car kid after all.
