Lets pretend that Tesla (not Testa) made a $35,000 version of their roadster AAAANNNDDD so did Porsche. Which would you pick and porque? A few more details after the jumpy jump.
Both again $35,000 msrp
Both 350-ish HP
Both new chassis’
Acceleration numbers haven’t been released (because they don’t exist lol) But more than likely, the Tesla will be typical a beast to 60.
Me..... i’d go with the Porsche due to engine noise and non battery issue fear.

i’d go with the porsche.
over a century of ICE history suggests it’d be easier to maintain well into the future. the all electric drive trains of today may be the betamax video of tomorrow.

possibly, but think there is enough backing electric drive to further advance it

I’m a Tesla fan, but I’m a bigger Porsche fan, and I’d bet that Porsche would do their homework much more thoroughly in a $35k car than Tesla would, especially with regard to chassis dynamics. The Porsche would handle for that price, the Tesla would roll over and flop around because they didn’t change the suspension when they added 800lbs.

Porsche.
I like the idea of a silent electric commuter car like the Model 3 or the Model S. But I want my sports car to make sports car noises. And Porsches have been my dream machines since I was a kid.

Depends on how they look but I’d still probably pick the Tesla.

Oh indeed! Also think Porsche has way more R&D for a proper little roadster and VW backing to get the price on target

Looks are a big factor for sure. Tesla face is getting a bit meh while the lower end Porsches are getting hotter

thats the way it looks now... but who knows...even the decade or so of experience at the moment may be nothing if we all move to hydrogen.
anyway... i’d still go with the porsche because manual. :)

i dont know if youre being serious. because i really wasn’t. i have no idea what the status is for hydrogen power. just saying we have no idea what may happen. hell we could be running our cars on unicorn farts in the next decade. (let’s hope we find some more unicorns)

Porsche makes a 35k roadster already...if you buy used ;). It doesn’t have 350 horsepower but it is still pretty fast!

Very true sir. And although they seem to have good quality lately, nothing beats a new car warranty. My fingers are still crossed for both to exist

I’d go with the Porsche too....unless the other car is named the Testa Cull S (Brochure would read along the lines of ”...Classic phallic shape....”, “...choose between Cajones Brown or Penetration Purple leather - standard”)
In that case, it could really go either way lol
