Never knew that the alternator tattoo story has 200 more comments and 100,000 more views than the Blackbird story. Yet somehow, Blackbird comes back from the grave more often.

Yes. If we so elected to do so, we (the mods) could move or delete (if we are the authors, which for the Blackbird post, I am) these posts. It’s been suggested, but honestly, I still don’t see the purpose. Largely, these posts are seen as nuisances because we’ve all read them. But I see them as challenges to the rest of the community to come up with posts that inspire being shared far and wide. The blackbird post was a throwaway post, but at this point, it has taken on a life of its own. The alternator tattoo post was just a “hey guys look at this” post, and the LS for nothing post is practically clickbait (though if I am going to outright call it click bait, then we have to acknowledge that nearly all of Tavarish’s posts are as well).

Hey, thanks for the reply. It never occurred to me that any of those might be yours , or I might have been a bit more diplomatic. I am sort of a sometimes Opponut, though I do land here at least once most days and browse the top dozen or so posts. Personally, I’d like to see more variety in what pops up and of those mentioned specifically, I am the most tired of the LS engine posts. So there, to put it diplomatically, I’d really like to see some more variety there. Thanks again, and I hope you enjoy the season, whatever you do or do not celebrate.
