It happened. The past couple days there’s a 35% chance my left headlight won’t pop up. This is a problem since I drive at night and do NOT want to spend 10 minutes standing in the cold fucking with my light to get it to go up all the way, so until I figure out what’s wrong the bastards are staying erect (heh). While looking around to see if it was binding on anything I noticed one of the brackets holding on the bumper looked bent. I looked closer and noticed that literally everything forward of the wheels is bent. Radiator? Bent. Condenser? Bent. Crash bar? Looks like a handlebar mustache. I’m going to try taking off the bumper cover and assessing what the fuck happened tomorrow, as well as about a million other things I need to get done.

Parking lot hit-and-run? Any evidence of paint transfer?

These are all injuries from long before I owned it.

clean them. rx7’s and early miatas all have bad times with pop ups. keep it clean in there and it should be good

I don’t even know what I could clean. My engine bay is pretty spic-and-span, including the little fiddly light bits.

My Talon used to have this issue—when the temps would drop the motors would intermittently cease. I know it looks kinda trash, but in the winter you should really just throw the switch and leave them up all the time.

Huh. That’s odd.
