Did they make those? I’m assuming it’s converted by the owner and he put badging on it himself, but I’m not really a Porschefile.

You assumed correctly. It wasn’t done by Porsche.

I just Googled it and a few build threads/videos came up. Maybe one of them is the one you saw.

Definitely a conversion. 944s only ever came with gas engines that eat themselves

It was gold, google doesn’t come up with one that looks the same.
