You have decided that you need the last gen C63 AMG Coupe in your life. You know, the one with the 6.2L V8 pumping out 451hp and 443lb-ft of torque. A sinister sounding, 3,900lb two-door that can go from 0-60 in about 4 seconds. Well even though the sedan came out for the 2008 model year, we didn’t get the coupe until four years later for 2012. Of course you want something clean and with low mileage. You notice they are running in the $40,000 range. Pretty sweet when you remember they started around $60,000 and easily optioned over $80,000! However...

You could also look at a 2016 Camaro SS. You know, the one with the 6.2L V8 pumping out 455hp and 455lb-ft of torque. A sinister sounding, 3,700lb two-door that can go 0-60 in about 4 seconds. Maybe it’s a toss up still. After all, it is $40k. Let’s peek at the interiors.

Well Mercedes is known world wide for their interior quality. Coincidentally, GM is also known world wide for their interior quality! Let’s have a look.

On an aside, I noticed that we always promote buying used and rant about how new cars are too expensive and depreciate rapidly. I just want to start making sure everyone feels encouraged about going out and buying whatever it is that they love. Will the Camaro SS be worth $20k in another 4 years? You betcha! Will that 2012 C63 be selling for $20k in another 4 years? No doubt! Will you have great stories and love the car you just bought? Ya damn skippy! As long as you love what you have, you’ll always have my support 100 percent.

Hmmm tough choice. I like my C300 but it isn’t as sporty as i’d like. Obviously the C63 would be better though. Might have to go with Camaro because 3 pedals on this one!

Agreed. Just buy what you want. I’m sure in a few years I can get something new that’s better for the money than a 997 C2S or Turbo, but I don’t care, it’s what I want.

see I’m in this exact situation right now.

Do I go out and order a brand new scat pack, or do I go out and find a mint C63 AMG sedan?

I’ve yet to decide because both are so damn awesome

Completely agree, it’s little more than a tire fire on wheels. I hope current owners start caring for the safety of their families and unload these automotive abominations at an extremely affordable price.

Honestly, I’m leaning towards challenger, for the simple fact that it has a 10yr/100k mile warranty, and I feel 485hp is MORE than enough juice to get me places.

Plus any mods I do are way cheaper

then again, the 3-pointed star is a VERY good logo to have, especially when an AMG badge is added on.

Either way, I’m getting a 450+ HP, 6+L V8, RWD monster of a car.
