Heck yeah. The 818 is one of my favorite kit cars, and it’s one I could potentially own at some point.

They’re pretty epic looking, but you also need to own an 02-07 subaru to be able to build it. so it’s really 10k + a subaru.

I wish you could build it with something other than a subaru...

Yeah the C is pretty sweet. I’m still just upset about the only drivetrain option.

Yeah, would be nice to have more options, but still looks like a light, fun, relatively cheap package.

stupid kinja isn’t letting me see your latest comment/be able to reply directly. I saw it in me “view all notifications” list.

I think it would be awesome to have the ability to do this with a Ford Fusion/Mercury Milan/Lincoln MKZ V6.

The Fusion had a 3.0 or 3.5 V6, the Milan had the 3.0 and the MKZ had the 3.5.

They’re great engines with plenty of power. They’re the basis for the engine in Noble’s why not be able to go that route?

I’m having the same issue. I like that idea, but my guess with packaging (small car, limited space) they had to pick one drivetrain and stick with it.

Yeah, I wish they had just picked a couple. I know, that would raise the overall cost, but for me, I had boxer engines and I’m pretty sure most people either love or hate them. So that kind of cuts a huge chunk in the market. I would have to re-engineer the drivetrain to be able to own this car, so it’s no good to me.

I would love to build one of these kits. $20k for a mid engine roadster is pretty good, even if you need to do assembly yourself.
