Not blazing through it, but getting some of the finer points taken care of. Finished spraying the spindles, should be able to install those sometime tomorrow.
Finished connecting some of the harness to the trans. Installed the longtubes for a temporary fitment check with the new exhaust. More on that soon.
Test fit the UMI A-Arms, they’re pretty nice, and finished setting up the Global West upper control arms that were modified by Blaine Fabrication.

Not gonna lie: Your project has changed some of my Craigslist track car searching. I mean, it’s no MR2, but the Bird has potential. Good luck with the rest of the build!

Thanks, it’s not an easy or cheap method, but an F-body has proven a nasty surprise for some from time to time.
Here’s one of the aftermarket suspension developers driving his personal car. Sam Strano is an “Alien” behind the wheel, but others have had pretty good success with a good stripped out f-body and as wide a tire as you can get away with.

Yea, a few of the track rats around here seem to go with that combination. Cheap thrills, I guess.
edit: I should note that an F-body would have a ton more polar moment than other things I’ve driven, which makes me a bit hesitant, if only because the combination of big-ish power and a big, heavy car can spell disaster in some cases.

Yeah, one thing people fight with is the panhard bar equipped rear axle. I actually picked up a watts link to take care of that issue of high roll center cornering one direction and low roll center cornering the other direction. That whole setup causes a lot of people to get into a “tank slapper” while trying to correct. It is also a “long” car to try and get back in line.
Then of course run the biggest damned swaybar setup you can find to keep the car from jacking up the corner balance like a yacht on stormy waters...

Yea, that Panhard bar would be the first thing to go for me. I hadn’t thought all the way through the geometry, but now I feel like I should.
