I know it’s not an authentic racing sim, but it’s fun nonetheless. Spontaneous challenges and thrashing about make it that much more enjoyable.
I've switched to playing it on my space heater, er, desktop PC, but I don't know if different platforms can play simultaneously in the same environment.

They can’t. Also TDU2 is less stable than kinja most of the time. It used to be fun, but my Atari account got messed up and I lost my save with 60+ hours on it. Also if you haven’t gotten plastic surgery, GET IT!

I would if it wasn’t so buggy and I didn’t delete my save file after giving up on the game.

Despite the fact that it’s the most broken, botched game in existence, I still enjoy it from time to time.
I really wish someone would make an open world driving game with a map that big. I played the original Forza Horizon and got bored after a week because the map was so tiny. You could literally drive for hours in TDU2...

I did have a problem getting my Atari account set up, but once that was done it was relatively smooth sailing. The program fails to launch on occasion, but I assume that’s more windoze than TDU2; once it starts it runs just fine, no problems whatsoever. I figure that I’m getting the latest version with all needed updates from Steam.
I played it on the 360, but I stopped using that console once I got a PS3. I bought it again for the PS3 but it would crash and lock up on me, but I don’t know if that was due to scratches on the used disc I bought or a bug in the program. Perhaps if I can have that disc professionally polished I can find out if that is the issue, or maybe I’ll just stick with the PC version since it seems to work.

I still play the first TDU once in a while.
The “Hardcore Mode” is exactly right for me. It’s fun to play an open world arcade game in which the cars have less grip than you are used to. I’m not saying it feels realsitic, but easily sliding around despite using the keyboard is just very enjoyable once in a while.
I want more games like this. I’m not interested in pure racing sims where you are only able to drive on tracks.
