Update- turns out they sent me a wheel bearing kit for a Mercedes. There’s a sicker on top of the box with the e36 part number, and a sicker on the side with the Mercedes part number. 33-41-2-220-987-M34 and 123-350-00-68-M34. Not sure how that happens. Anyone ever had an issue like this with pelican? How easy is the return policy?

I ordered a rear wheel bearing kit for the e36 from pelican. This is the picture on the site:

Here is what I received:

Kinja'd!!!

It looks like two wheel bearings, a packet of grease, and a bunch of other parts that I have no idea what they are for. The two larger discs have some kind of bearing-type insert in them.

So, I have no idea what I’m doing.

Just insert tab A into slot B and you’ll be all set to go.

That doesn't look like rear wheel bearings for an e36. You should have also got a new axle nut for each side.

Part # on box? It looks like a front end kit.

Rear would be http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showp…

I also expected a new circlip. The bottom pieces look about right to be the bearings, but all the extra pieces are really confusing

The bottom pieces are in fact bearings but they don’t look like the correct dimensions. The rear bearings are a fairly small diameter and very wide.

Read the update - this was probably done when they were received in from the vendor. Whoever put them in inventory hit some wrong buttons so the Pelican label was printed as an e36. Then they missed it when they went to ship. They should be able to replace it quickly and ok ther dime.

I would probably offer to pay to ship them back the same day as long as they ship out the correct bearings the same day also. Both of you provide the other with tracking, and you're good to go. Give a little and they'll work with you on other future purchases if there is ever another problem.

I’m fine on timing... Trying to make Sno drift at the end of January, and I haven’t even gotten the bearing kit yet. I was just so confused
