You know, with some of the stuff he’s said, I wouldn’t bat an eye if this was a real quote.

He’s a buffoon, until this election crap I never knew a person that embodied that word so completely.

I don’t think it makes him a lord just because people say ‘oh lord’ to themselves when they see him walking towards them.

I like how people take Trump’s statements at face-value instead of looking at the disruptive effects he’s having on the political processes by stomping all over “the way things are done.”

I don’t even think Trump believes the things he says, he’s just being a massive troll because what the fuck else are you going to do when you’re a billionaire, fed up with government, and have the nation’s ear? He’s not presidential material and he knows it.

If he gets voted, his response will probably be something along the lines of “fucking really , America?”

You have to be careful when talking about conservatives - there are generally 3 types. 1) pig ignorant; 2) willfully ignorant; 3) just plain dumb. Trump is Type 2, I think, but you might be able to persuade me otherwise.

I lasagna all the time, usually with my homemade bolognese. But sometimes a pesto/portobello creeps in. I have my standards.

I shall invoke the Barry Crimmins joke: You say love America or leave it, but if I leave I’ll be victimized by own country’s foreign policy? Nope.

Here’s what you need to remember - liberals (like me) have been right about pretty much everything for years. Reagan - deficit, Bush 1 - deficit, Clinton - surplus, W - deficit, Obama - lowering the deficit. Laffer curve? Laughable. Supply side economics - didn’t work (see Reagan administration). W tacking left after 2004 election? Nope. Roberts just calling balls and strikes? No - and lied about it in his confirmation hearing (see also, Citizens United). Iraq - no WMD and exactly what we said would happen, happened (rise of ISIS). Global warming? Yes, it’s real. The ACA? It’s working. And on and on and on. But you can dump a metric ton of facts on a conservative and they’ll just go “death panels!” (also not real) or “both sides do it!” No. Both sides do not do it. Liberals never showed up at a Bush campaign event with automatic weapons. Liberals never shot up the NRA or AEI.

This illustrates one of the major problems conservatives have - they remember nothing before January 20, 2009. Never forget - W and his merry band of sociopaths nearly broke the world.

come on man. you must be the last liberal still telling people that obama is good for the economy. not even obama says the economy is healthy. during his tenure, the national debt has tripled. the damage he’s done to the dollar has put it in a position to lose its’ status as the worlds reserve currency, and we have more people on welfare now than at any point in the history of the nation. And these are all exactly the things he promised wouldn’t happen if we elected him. i dont think the Administration has a leg to stand on wrt finacne and economics, which is why they avoid the topic like the plague.

And...Liberals perhaps never showed up to a bush campaign event with automatic weapons, but they certainly showed up to CPACs (multibple times) hurling ziplock bags of urine and feces into the crowd of people entering the venue. classy bunch.

To follow, The ACA is an unmitigated disaster. from conception, to planning (“we have to pass the law to figure out whats in it”), to comissioning, to operation—nothing has gone right. the largest insurer under the plan (United) is already in the process of washing their hands of it, and subscribership is a mere fraction of what was forecasted. i dont know how anyone could put a positive spin on that.

Finally, i dont think conservatives or liberals have all the answers. in a perfect world, i would have the liberals running social programs and conservatives running the economy. i would rather see the job of president broken up into two or three different positions than have to rely on finding one person who is good at everything.

did you send this make my point for me? The very first thing I read:

“the number of Americans receiving food stamps remains 45 percent higher than when the president first took office, and the rate of home ownership has dropped by 3.2 percentage points, to the lowest point in nearly 20 years.”

you said to focus on P&M and Obamacare.

The P&M section says corporate profits are high and that the stock market is strong. the stock market is only strong because weak fed policy has pushed the low risk investors out of bonds and into stocks. it doesnt say that the bond market has been absolutely decimated, which is why credit is all effed up.

and corporate profits...i thought the left was against wall street? the fact that you’re telling me to ignore the reality that half the nation is dirt poor and to just be happy that the corporate world is doing well is really confusing. not even conservatives think that way.

re obamacare, it says rates are going up. (obama swore up and down the plan would LOWER the cost of coverage. BIG lie.). the report further states that the government is being forced to double the tax for not buying an obamacare policy, ostensibly because nobody wants anything to do with it.

i cant find anything in this report that supports your claim that the Administration is doing a good job. and apparently neither can you.

i dont blame you for disangaging.

He would probably hire a VP and then step back and have the VP handle everything and go back to doing whatever the hell he was doing with his day before deciding to run. He would just be doing what he has been saying about every issue he talks about: putting “the best people, our brilliant minds on it.”

Kinja'd!!! Axial > philipilihp

On the other hand, as long as those brilliant minds really are the best people for the job, I don’t actually see anything wrong with that.
