Two bucks at Goodwill for a beautiful, hand-painted Japanese fan with very minimal damage. Not really worth anything (maybe $10 on a good day) but still just cool to have.

I’ve recently been very interested in the wall decor sections of thrift stores. I’ve found so many original paintings - all by unknown amateurs, of course - but also at least a few dozen framed preschool art projects, two of which were very obvious Mother’s Day gifts. I also found a massive, probably 48” canvas print of a photograph of some old lady, which probably cost like $200 or something and is worthless to everyone except the people who donated it. Also a bunch of graduation photos and trophies/plaques that still have the person’s name on them. Some things are just meant to stay in a box in your attic forever.
