I dont get why ppl give 10 so much stick. I like it WAY better then 8 or 8.1

Thats why im trying it on the touchscreen computer, a platform 10 was designed for. The desktop running 7 isnt that until i get touchscreens for home. Not likely because i wouldnt have a tripple monitor setup anymore!

10 is fine without touchscreen.

10 Works on every platform. It’s as good with a mouse/keyboard as it is with a touchscreen. The start menu is lightyears ahead of the one that comes with 7 (and obviously better than that shitty 8/8.1 start screen crap)

I liked 10 a lot more than 7. I never had 8 or 8.1. One problem I’m having with 10 is that a lot of my computer management stuff after the newest big 10 update doesn’t work anymore. After the update it’s just like “Lenovo battery management does not work with your current version of Windows.”

Same thing happened with my friends’ (two friends) ASUS laptops that died because ASUS didn’t have drivers for their graphics after the first update to 10.

10 is fantastic and I love it. You will too.

I have the Surface Pro 3, and I hardly ever use the touch screen.

The tiles are your shortcuts. That’s all that’s changed.

W10 is way faster than 7, uses less memory, and is more secure.

You can probably still do your triple monitors, but it may take some fiddling with the drivers. Otherwise, there is zero reason not to upgrade.

Be forewarned, Midtown Madness 2 has difficulties running on Windows 10.

W10 is also totally lightyears ahead in the memory managment department. Think back to the Vista years for a moment; can you imagine a machine that would work well with less than 8GB of ram? I couldn’t. But 2GB feels like plenty on my netbook thingy. It even plays hearthstone!

Yeah. My SP3 only has 2 gigs of RAM, W10 works great.

My only complaint is that my fan turns on too quickly when I have stuff open.

I use my Surface for work, and have the dock with a BT Logitech touchpad for my mouse. I use Chrome for work stuff, FF for personal, and will have a few tabs open in both and Groove music running.

Some days the fan is just quietly running in the background as one would expect. Since W10, it seems like it goes into warp-drive too easily for no reason. I have all available updates, and use Avast for virus protection, and it is set not to actively scan.

So, while I have things running, I’m not taxing the processors as if I was rendering video or folding proteins.

10 runs just fine without touches too. Its great. I’d ALMOST say I prefer it to 7. almost.
