I’m sat behind this 1993 F150 parked up. Surprisingly it’s barely any wider than my GTI.

Hopefully Kinja sorts out the image or you’ll think I’m in Australia.

I’m pretty sure that’s a 97-03 model.

03? I think that’s a 98-04 body style. it's cute that they're such a rarity where you are.

I saw but mostly heard a Raptor the other day and like American teeth another well built up illusion of Americana was shattered. Those trucks really aren’t that big and I would totally drive one of them here in London.

There is a builder (manager) round the corner from me, used to have a black 2013 Ford F150. It was at least a foot wider than a Nissan Navara. Hideous and oversized, he had it less than a year before getting a black 2014 Audi A7.

Can confirm...I have a ‘92 that is roughly the same shape as a brick on wheels.

I think I’d also describe the racing stripes as cute.

I went by the plate, but now I remember that it’s a later model.

What about the fancy “Ford Motor Company” script?

Almost missed that! I’d say it adds a touch of classiness. You found a real winner when it comes to F-150s!

The Americans won’t like the teeth reference....

Since that is a tenth generation F series pickup, it’s a 1997-2004 model year. The age of the plate may not reflect that accurately (As it’s an L plate).

Someone has friends at the DVLA...

They have to be imported specially and are petrol only so they’re bound to be a rarity. Not much use for a business user so they’re only used by those who have a taste for obscure Americana.

I get low 20s in traffic! My engine is less than a third of the size.

The ‘L’ plate is a cheap vanity plate in that ‘L’ and ‘777’ and then specified three next letters will relate to the individual such as driver’s initials.

Have you seen the Tundra? My dad owns one and if the parking spot is not generous the only option is to back in it is so long. Just the cab and hood length are about equivalent to my girlfriends RX350
