And it should feel bad
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:37 |

It’s a flavorless “beer”. I won’t pay for one
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:40 |

And yet, it has such good marketing that idiots think it’s tasty shit because it’s “imported.” Like Heineken. That makes it good, right?

Try Landshark. It’s like Corona but less Corona-y.

Yeah but...

What are your thoughts on natty ice?
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:44 |

yeah like eleven of them
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:44 |

Are you drinking it dressed? Because that's really how it should be drank. If not: ask your bartender to rim the neck with salt and to stick a lime wedge (NOT a lemon wedge) in the mouth of the bottle. :)

Tastes like ass but it will get you in fighting shape in no time

Depends if you pregame or not. lel.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:47 |

Try drinking it naked.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:48 |

Eventually. Maybe. I think the actual act of drinking is enough to wear it off
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:49 |

Its bad when its cold, its even worse when not cold, smells like piss, tastes like piss, and if you drink enough of it makes your piss smell awful. Its the crystal palace of beer, wait actually that might be keystone.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:50 |

Heineken IS good though.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:50 |

Not flavorless. It has flavor, and that flavor is ass.

Snerk. :P
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:52 |

Sad fact: Here in MN, they sell special beer at grocery stores with a lower 3.5% ABV total. (down from normal 4.6)
You can just imagine how bad corona tastes at 3.5%.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:53 |

You’re just finding that out? It looks the same going out as going in. Your body doesn’t even bother to process it.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:53 |

Obligatory
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:54 |

Should have gone with Bud Light Lime
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:55 |

If Keystone is failed QC Coors, then Corona is Keystone that has been previously “enjoyed”. With a hint of lime.

HTF did they manage to put less alcohol in it???
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:58 |

I agree. Natty ice was a staple amongst northern VA high school lacrosse teams back in my HS days.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:59 |

should have gone with For Denmark

Aka urine.

How dare you sir. How very dare you.

According to google, less ferment-able ingredients used makes a weaker beer.

I think they're lying and both are 2.5%
![]() 12/03/2015 at 19:05 |

Carlsberg eww
![]() 12/03/2015 at 19:08 |

Agreed. Beer and fruit should be mutually exclusive.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 19:25 |

It's crap
![]() 12/03/2015 at 19:29 |

It’s not too bad when you’re at a beach and the only other option is the water out of Lake Michigan

While in Mexico, I drank Modelo Especial instead. I like it better, plus it reminds me of how much better vacationing in Mexico is than living in Rhode Island this time of year.

hahahahah
no
![]() 12/03/2015 at 20:25 |

Any beer that looks like it’s creators pissed it in shouldn’t be consumed.

Nohahaha.
Yes.

Corona is the dregs that isn’t fit to be called Pacifico.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 20:47 |
|
Really? I didn’t realize it was worse than UT, which I thought was the king of watered-down beer.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 20:57 |
|
If I recall, UT may still have the edge because of state-ran liquor stores. So weird.
Also, in MN the house/senate have tried at least 2+ years now to repeal the ban on alcohol sales on Sunday and yet somehow the repeal gets narrowly shot down each time.

So much good food. It’s so cheap there, too. So cheap. I felt like I was in a third world country in asia, except the food seemed safer.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 21:07 |

According to my family that lives there, in recent years the alcohol laws have distinctly lightened up in UT. Still crazy, but not as crazy as they once were.
Interestingly, the state I now live in had state liquor stores until not long before I moved here.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 21:34 |

Yeah, it’s December. What were you expecting?
It tastes fantastic with a lime wedge when you’ve been on the beach all day
![]() 12/03/2015 at 22:05 |

Mexican Corona is good. American Corona is bad.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 22:49 |

I agree that Corona is not particularly good session beer, but it has its place. If you’re at the beach, and it’s hot, and there’s chips and salsa and guacamole, and you don’t have to pay for it, it’s tolerable.
Sure, Modelo or Pacifico is better, but I won’t turn down a free Corona under the right circumstances.

If you think Heineken is good, then try Rogue Ale’s Irish Style Lager. Same style of beer - Euro Pale Lager - but far better executed. Hell, even a simple Stella Artois outdoes Heineken in every way.
![]() 12/04/2015 at 09:09 |
|
I think that’s part of the reason that Coronas get so heavily criticized by beer snobs. To many, a beer should stand on its own merit, without any added dressing afterwords. While I can certainly understand that perspective (in fact, in most cases, I absolutely agree with that perspective), I also don’t see anything wrong with taking a fundamentally good beer and adding a little bit of dressing on occasion for something a little different.
Example: Allagash White. One of the best wheat beers on the market, and absolutely delicious on its own. Still, much to the annoyance of other beer nerds, I’ve been known to throw in a lemon slice now and then for a little variety.

May or may not be able to get it here, but I'll look. I do enjoy Stella as well. Someone else here suggested Sierra Nevada Pale Ale to me once, that one was great. I hope the luck's as good this time :)
![]() 12/04/2015 at 09:24 |

I can’t say as I agree with that, for two reasons:
1) As a beer snob myself, I know that the party line for beer snobs is that a good beer should be able to stand on its own merit, without the need for any added accoutrements. I fundamentally agree with that. That being said, I don’t see the issue with taking a fundamentally good beer and occasionally adding a little something for the sake of variety.
Example: Allagash White. One of the best wheat beers on the market, and absolutely delicious on its own. Still, much to the annoyance of other beer nerds, I’ve been known to throw in a lemon slice now and then for a little variety.
2) Beers brewed with fruit can actually be quite fantastic. For reference, I would point you to Founder’s Blushing Monk, Short’s Brewing Company’s Peaches & Cream, Ommegang Aphrodite, Steigl Radler, RJ Rocker’s Son of Peach, and Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager.
Beer is a much varied thing, and there’s nothing wrong with mixing it up a bit.

You may not be able to get it until Spring, as it may be a seasonal beer. Still, look around for a good, reputable beer store, and they should be able to order it for you once it’s released. Until then, enjoy what you enjoy just for the sake of enjoying it.
And yes, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is excellent. It, along with Sam Adam’s Boston Lager, are rare examples of microbrews that went macro and maintained their quality.

I'm in Ontario, I have a choice of LCBO or The Beer Store. Yes, they actually called it that. It has it's benefits, LCBO has more buying power than anybody else in the world, but it also means if they choose not to bring something in you're screwed. Well, I'll see I guess...
![]() 12/04/2015 at 09:33 |

Oh, I know. I’m just a German and Czech pilsner guy. I’m not a fan of wheat beers, IPAs, or much anything else for that matter.
![]() 12/08/2015 at 10:17 |

Yup. I consider myself a craft beer person (though not a snob), but there’s just a time and a place for different types of beers. Eating Mexican food or hot day by the pool/beach? Corona with lime is an excellent choice.
![]() 12/08/2015 at 10:23 |

Other beer being better does not make Heineken awful. Beer is beer! There’s really only so bad it can be, like pizza and sex.
![]() 12/08/2015 at 10:25 |

Corona is good for what it is, a light, fairly refreshing beer in the summer. I don’t see the problem. If you don’t like it, don’t drink it.
![]() 12/08/2015 at 10:55 |

whoa whoa whoa whoa stella wifebeater ( its nickname here in blighty) tastes like piss. stale piss at that. Heineken is 10000 times the beverage wifebeater will ever be.

That’s the beer of choice of the Fast and Furious franchise. I feel this is sacrilegious
