Just a reminder that we are going to lose our collective shit over a FWD-based, 4cyl only, automatic only, no-diesel-available-in-the-US, best-performance-model-will-be-a-2-ton-Plug-in-Hybrid-Electric-Vehicle, every-safety-feature-imaginable-laden wagon in a few months. Because good looking Swedish wagons turn us into realistic, practical people.
And then they’ll lift the V90 by a few inches, toss some black plastic on the wheel wells, brand it a Cross Country, and we will praise Volvo for giving us everything we have ever complained about.
But it will be a wagon, and it will be available in brown, and most of all, it will be Swedish.
Brought to you by China.
I....I just...BLRGHGHGHR!!!1!!!!11!eleven!!!!
Eleven, because I can’t even right now.

Right, I completely forgot. We must prepare to deploy the Sebring convertibles!

Volvo right now:

For what they’re likely going to charge for this, it should come with a Tri-Charger system that uses a supercharger, turbocharger, and team of Swedish midgets under the hood, all blowing through straws into the manifold.

I’m afraid this is even bigger than our Sebrings. I fear this may be a code Murano CrossCabrio.

And a turbo rotary.

If they sell enough of them they will build us brown diesel shooting brakes with a manual transmission and crank windows.

I love it. Meanwhile, they absolutely failed to cover the actual launch of a big V6-only, auto-only F/Dual Clutch-AWD sedan at LA because it has a Buick badge on it.
Volvo hasn’t produced a RWD wagon since Seinfeld was on the air. Yet everyone cums by the bucketfull when Volvo even mentions its FWD-based, 4cyl-only, auto-only, hybrid-focused, almost fully autonomous 90-series cars.
I don’t get it.

I’d still drive one if the price was right.
Then again, I’m all about the plug-in hybrids.

Same here! I was excited to find out Mitsubishi is going to have three PHEV CUVs before the end of the decade and standard AWD on whatever cars it will offer (allegedly).

I knew about the Outlander PHEV (it’s already sold in Europe and elsewhere), but I haven’t heard about the other two. Have they officially been announced?

Carscoops mentioned it under the Lancer and i-MiEV not getting another generation.

Given that the iMiev really hasn’t sold that well... I can understand that.
But man, are they ever getting cheap. $6k USD is a pretty low price to pay for a cheap little electric commuter car.

Wagons are cool. If you don’t understand that implicitly, it can never be explained to you.
