I’ve owned two Hondas, and both have been infinitely more reliable and less expensive than my Subaru was. Someday I’ll own another WRX, but Hondas are smarter for my poor, present self.

it was all looks and no go, a pre-interference 1.8 engine. gutless, but reliable and did 30+mpg.

I agree. I have a civic daily and the transmission sounds like gravel, it burns a little oil and the right front wheel bearing is shot. But I don't even care because I know it won't completely fail.
