"Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing." (granfury)

I fired up my gaming computer for the first time since mid-August today. I figured that if I need to heat a room, why not play some games instead of just burning the kW to create heat? (I can’t have a space heater and this computer on simultaneously or I trip a breaker - the machine is a bit of a beast). Anyway, after a day of installing updates, both on this computer and the install of Windows 7 installed on the MacBook Pro, I installed a few games I purchased on Steam ages ago including Car Mechanic Simulator 2014. Meh. Now I remember what it’s like to work a mind-numbing, repetitive job with little to no feedback or options...
They tried, but there are times that demonstrate that those that programmed this thing don’t know much about cars. On one frustrating level I spent quite some time trying to get a beater to start and finally hit Google for a little help. Those tiny, itty-bitty things that look like 10mm bolts? Oh, those are the spark plugs. As I advanced I found one car that had a rather questionable drivetrain - a transverse V6 with rear wheel drive. Huh? I can understand AWD, but this was a Mustang-like contrivance. The routing of various components is also highly suspect.
I dunno. The game seems to be getting good reviews, so maybe I’m just being pedantic. Like when I see a TV show that is supposed to be at a location that I know well and I can tell it wasn’t filmed there, or filmed in one aircraft and showing another. Yeah. I know 99.725% of the people watching won’t have a clue, but it still sticks in my craw. I studied film and television production at university and fully understand the reasons, but maybe that’s why I prefer documentaries over other types of productions...

Don’t forget the NSX and some modern Lotuses with Toyota V6s.

Well, I did say that it was a car that resembled a Mustang, therefore implying that it was front-engined.

This may pique your interest. Because rear mounted AWD V-12 (maybe, haven’t tested it yet)
