From my dad: a 1:32 Lamborghini Aventador that he got after filling up at the petrol station. Already looks good in the box, but wait until you see the underside of the box.
Yep, this car has lights, sounds, and a Chris Harris hooning mode, all activated by touching points on the model. Demo’s for another day and only to be seen on LaLD, because contest.
It’s legit.
Like, really legit.
Out of the box, but not out of the showroom floor. What an imposing thing.
Must’ve been Kinja’d, as the shot was meant to be vertical.
6 minutes before I got the model car, I got a pair of bruises on my frequently-banged-up right knee after falling off my bike (tried getting on a kerb, slid to the right). No biggie, it’ll buff out. Gonna be a bitch when I take a bath, though, as most grazes of this level sting and hurt worse than most deeper wounds. Wounds like this mean one thing: Those who would give me gifts have to give me a helmet, knee and shin covers and/or elbow and forearm protectors.
Lastly, but not the least, from my brother: shoes from Call It Spring. Good ones, like the ones he buys and pairs with some swank threads to work and clubbing (he works for a top TV station here in the Philippines). Finally, I can into chic and handsome and stuff! Thanks, Marv!
Well, what can I say? It’s a good night. This Saturday night we’re gonna eat a buffet dinner at a corner resto, while in the morning of the same day I’ll finally look for ot Wheels Ferraris or somesuch.
