I just got a call about my 2004 liberty asking if I did the recall. I told them I had it done but she kept pestering me about where etc. I asked if this (the call) was part of the lawsuit and she didn’t know what I was talking about. Then she explained the recall stating that the gas tank was in the wrong spot and was causing accidents. I told them I already had a hitch. That seemed to satisfy them. It seemed sketchy. Anybody else get a call like this or know what that was???

That does sound a bit weird. Was your hitch installed as part of the recall?

I’ve always had one but I got a nice new one during the recall. I guess it wasn’t in their system?

I feel bad for the people who have to make those phone calls. Btw, nice CR!

That seems pretty odd to me. I’m not aware of any customers getting calls from FCA directly. FCA has more had the dealers reaching out to have the recalls done then doing it themselves.
