... But at least we got a halfway decent jump? Shame L’Estages Subaru retired (read: caught fire) within the first three stages of the day.

Rally racing is best racing because.. it just is.

I’m reeaally sad because I’m missing the Nemadji Trail Rally because a family vacation. Darn Mother in law insisting that I reeeally want to hang out in a cabin on a lake for a week.

NO! I want to freeze my ass of to see some cars go fast on dirt roads!

Dry roads with no ice?! Why did I have to miss the rally this year?????

Haha don’t ask me! :P

Roads were frozen, but the rain leading up to the rally pretty much cleared any snow. It rained overnight and everything was iced over in the morning when I got to parc ferme; temps hovered around 0C but dropped quickly once night fell.

Iron Bridge was fun though.

I’m planning on going to Sno*Drift in January as my first rally ever. I have a feeling that Michigan in January is also rather cold. I’m considering camping out for the night between the events as well.

Sounds fun! Definitely prepare for the weather haha tall pines is usually colder and the stages are held on private property so no camping up here. Only one day of stages so there’s that.

I’m going to get out there one of these years. Other obligations kept me away from this one.

Definitely should! It's a lot of fun and doesn't cost a fortune, think I only paid for parking at the stages. Dress for the weather if you plan on staying for the night stages, since November's always cold up north. (podium celebrations are at 10pm)

I’d come prepared. I grew up not too far from there so I’m pretty used to it. I think the night stages would be fun to watch.

I’ve done Sno*Drift twice, it’s definitely usually cold. Nights run the risk of being 0°F or even a bit below.

Nice, I went 2 years ago. It was cold then too, though there was snow on the ground then. I was working yesterday but I’ll go again when I’m free.

It’s always cold around this time in November! There wasn’t much happening in Open 4WD, especially after L’Estage retired, but the Vincents put on quite a show. I’ll definitely be back next year, but I’m debating on whether I should attend Defi or not.
