...they are racing one in WEC next year.
Don’t let the enclosed cockpit, covered wheels, extra body panels and headlights fool you.

Calling one of the top three WEC LPM1s a body clad F1 car is doing a disservice to the LMP. They are freer to explore the limits of performance within the rules. This is coming from someone who loves F1 as well.

That may be the future of F1. Per rumors.
Audi is working on it.
If F1 ever gets its head out its ass, they will embrace WEC technology.
Bernie and all the fogeys need to die or retire or accept new things that make sense in the real world.
The sport needs to move on to survive.

Do race cars have fog lights? If they do, can the Michelin man please be them?

If you visualize the way air is going to flow over and around the car, they are actually using a lot of techniques that are more similar to F1 than has traditionally been seen in WEC.
