So V70R takes FOREVER to start when it’s been sitting. so Volvo is reading my codes. Since I’m crazy, I’m looking at other Volvo’s.
So if the R is fubar,
Do I get ‘11 XC70 or ‘12 XC90?
Polestar V60 that is tempting me up top to lure you in.

I don’t know. I don't like both, but prices?
![]() 11/28/2015 at 14:48 |

22k for xc70
23k for xc90
![]() 11/28/2015 at 14:48 |

XC90. Bigger and newer. Mileage?
![]() 11/28/2015 at 14:50 |

70k for xc 70(ironic)
50k for xc 90 (shows how much depreciation happens when you don’t redesign a car for 10 years)
![]() 11/28/2015 at 14:50 |

yeah
get the XC90
nicer color too
![]() 11/28/2015 at 14:51 |

See that’s what my brain is telling me but my heart likes the xc70 better!
![]() 11/28/2015 at 14:54 |

But the XC70 is ugly!
![]() 11/28/2015 at 14:56 |

XC90. They are much better cars. I assume you can't afford the new one, but that is the ultimate car.
![]() 11/28/2015 at 14:58 |

I’ve spend a lot of seat time in both. I’d go for the XC90, but they’re both big floaty SUVs. Nice cars, but neither will feel like your R. Avoid the 3.2i if possible, that engine is gutless.

XC70 NAOW!!!!!!!!!

... I know.. I may have a vision problem

Was just peaking at the 48k STARTING price. I can see paying 35k for a new car Max
![]() 11/28/2015 at 15:02 |

Both have the 3.2 Test drove both. Not terrible honestly. Man xc90 is the largest and tallest SUV or vehicle I've driven, floooooatty

Finally a voice of reason!

Having grown up in a Volvo wagon, XC70. Plus I can’t stand silver, it’s like beige without any imagination.

Why no pics of the AMC Eagle sedan (err....S60 Cross Country) in the showroom?

Cause... vomit?

You're the best el_uly!
![]() 11/28/2015 at 15:50 |

I feel like the XC90 has less things to go wrong, and most likely has most of the bugs worked out given how late of a model it is.
![]() 11/28/2015 at 16:02 |
|
Neither, you take out a ridiculously large loan and buy a new XC90 fully loaded. It’s the sensible option.
![]() 11/28/2015 at 16:04 |

gimmie a call before you buy anything
![]() 11/28/2015 at 16:04 |

XC70.
A car that was a 10 year old design when new vs a car that is still produced today makes it kind of easy..
![]() 11/28/2015 at 16:16 |
|
Do you need AWD? That question asked - if you’re getting something big and thirsty, XC90. I’ve always liked them.
![]() 11/28/2015 at 16:24 |
|
They’re worth every penny, though. Maybe get something that you can easily replace in a year or two when depreciation hits? Or do you require something nearly new?
![]() 11/28/2015 at 16:37 |

Don't need, want. More then that though I need a wagon or SUV for dogs and kid and wife
![]() 11/28/2015 at 16:37 |

XC70
![]() 11/28/2015 at 16:38 |

I'm looking for something to let the kid and dogs beat on the next few years
![]() 11/28/2015 at 16:51 |

The Car Guys (and others) point out that AWD means extra complication, extra weight, higher running costs, and possibly extra cost if something fails. Still, these vehicles have been pretty-well scienced out at this point. If it’s what you want, go for it.

Fuel pressure regulator leaking slowly?
I would pick the XC90!

Just noticed you’re in Annapolis. I grew up in MD and DC. And I used to race sailboats out of Annapolis - J24s, later J80s and the odd J110.
![]() 11/28/2015 at 17:31 |

Yeah as a displaced Midwesterner, all this sail boat stuff is confusing! My father in law has a couple and I just don't get why people like it lol, no offense,
![]() 11/28/2015 at 17:32 |
|
That's on my checklist now, I have until this next weekend to get it sorted or the R is going to go
![]() 11/28/2015 at 17:34 |
|
Yeah plus both are warrantied for 200k miles so not to nervous about breaking, if the r goes. I think the 90 will work better for the little one, but I so don't want an SUV lol
![]() 11/28/2015 at 17:58 |

That means it's already going :)
![]() 11/28/2015 at 18:00 |

You read my wife's mind lol

I’m a little hungover this morning. I could use something to give me a good yak, so I can get on with my day. :)
![]() 11/30/2015 at 15:51 |

Apparently Im crazy but I think this is a great looking car. Especially in that color.
I don’t know if I could buy an old XC90 (maybe if its a V8) because I know just how amazing the brand new ones are.
![]() 11/30/2015 at 15:58 |

Is that an S60.... Cross Country?!?!?!
I want one so so so badly. Sadly they haven’t even tried to sell them down in Florida by me. I think both of my local dealers had one. Thats it.
![]() 11/30/2015 at 15:59 |

It is and its soooooo ugly in person,
![]() 12/01/2015 at 10:45 |

Turn the key on and off three times with out trying to start it. Then try to start it. If it fires right up replace your fuel pressure regulator
![]() 12/01/2015 at 12:17 |

I'll do this tonight when I get home, how long each time?
![]() 12/01/2015 at 15:17 |

Just a couple of seconds to prime the fuel rail
