The day before yesterday, I had some new Nokian WRG3 tires installed.
I’m happy to report that, compared to the el cheapo Goodride snow tires my car came with, they grip better in wet and dry conditions, feel far less squirrelly over bumps and have a smoother ride.
And Kaltire advises that I should get my left inner tie rod (which has some play) and my shocks replaced.... Though they didn’t try to up sell me. They just said “you should look at doing these two things soon”.
So far, I’m happy with Kaltire and I’m happy with my new Nokian tires

I have bought a few ex-Michigan-State-Police Tahoes and they have always come equipped with these tires. They really are a great all-around tire and have pretty good grip in both snow and the summer. They are probably the best all-season I have owned.
Nokian makes some good stuff. Especially for the snow. I have a set of Hakkapelitta R2’s on my ‘16 STi and I expect that this Buffalo-Winter will be nice and easy to get around in.

From what I’ve seen, Kal tire seems to have about the best service. My wife’s car had an odd leak - the tire would stay full for a few days, then randomly go flat. They replaced the valve stem, free of charge, despite us not even getting the tires there. A friend of mine used to work at Kal tire up in Edmonton, and they prided themselves on service.

I told you Kal Tire was the shit! Also if you ever get a nail in a tire or anything like that they will fix it for free.
Best service out of any tire place BY FAR!
