As a kid (like ages 8-12 or so), I had and religiously studied the Consumer Guide new and used car books, speccing out each model how I would get it.
I also used to cruise up and down local streets, looking in all the cars to see how many people had stick, and how all the dashboards looked in person. I realize now how creepy that must have seemed to nervous car owners... also one of those times I was lucky to be a middle-class white kid :\
My best friend’s mom had a third-gen Civic hatch, and I thought the tail was the coolest thing.

Haha I did the same thing with looking for manual transmissions! Wait...I still do that on every semi sporty car and up.
