I would totally not object to owning a Land Cruiser or 4runner/Hilux Surf. Just putting that out there.
RamblinRover, TheBloody, R.Saldana, don’t judge. HHFP, Jordan and the Slowrunner, Daily Drives a Dragon, and Save the V8s, don’t laud.

WE’RE LOSING HIM. OH GOD WE’RE LOSING HIM.
(Totally the same. Maybe even a Nissan Patrol with a diesel. Why can’t the US get diesels...)

Nissan Patrol 3rd gen 160 series with the 4.0l diesel, preferably Icelandic.
Hubba hubba.

Come to the Toyota side. You’ll like it.

Where’s the fun in reliability?

You don’t have to fix as much so you can get back to having a blast.
Pictured: Examples of trucks that are probably really fun.

There is only so much rover reliability one can tolerate.

Not gonna lie, I constantly check on a hilux surf that’s at that Japanese import place. 10/10 would rock.

T100s are awesome. And they sound like they're from a terminator movie.

For me to own a land cruiser it would have to be a v8 and have a solid front axle.

But not big rims, that's how you know it's not a bro.

I’d love a Hilux Surf!!!

Could be a good second choice but those land cruisers are fatter and heavier than 75% of Americans.

An FJ80 ‘93-97 is only 2,159KG, whereas a turbo diesel 110 Defender station wagon is 1,916KG (1,806KG if you have the panel back like mine), so a noticeable difference, but probably not of enough relevance that I wouldn’t enjoy one sitting on my driveway ;)
I’m not anti-Toyota, just pro-Land Rover!

This is terrible advice.

If by terrible you mean wonderful, then yes, I agree.

Dude I was about two inches away from spending 7k on a white lifted fj80 two years ago. But it drove like a damned bus and when I jumped back into my dodgy Disco I felt at home, plus it feels so much more powerful than the 6 cyl in th 80 series

I currently have a first gen 4Runner, Hilux Surf. ‘85 with solid front axle.
I would really like to add an 80 series LC to my collection. Or any series LC for that matter.
