I might be able to upgrade my phone this Black Friday if everything works out in my favor. I have an LG G3 currently, and I love it. This week I discovered the LG V10, which appears to be a decent phone, with pretty impressive specs, absolutely fantastic cameras (two front cameras and a rear camera that can shoot 4K video), and an interesting dual-screen design.
What’s Oppo’s opinion?
The phone in question:

If you put a decal of two banks of five cylinders on the back then maybe

It seems like a beast, but as a G3 owner myself, do you really need to upgrade? You’ll be spending a lot of money for what is not really a much better phone. For instance, my boss was comparing his new (and very expensive) Nexus 6P with my LG recently...and his specs really aren’t that great. 3GB RAM? QHD Screen? LG was doing that years ago. Oh but you’ve only got 32gb of storage that can’t be expanded? How much did that phone cost again?
The G3 had very high specs for its time. The V10 is higher still, and may run better than raw numbers suggest, but I’d save your money a year or two :)

It’s basically a G4 with a beefed up casing, the double selfie cameras, and that second screen thing at the top. If a G4 were available for a good bit less, and you want an LG, I’d just go with the G4.
Personally I’m kinda salty at LG because I had a G2 and sorta hated a lot of the annoying quirks introduced to it by LG and Verizon insisting on silly software tweaks, that just worked worse than stock Android. The Lollipop build for it was better but it was on that bad KitKat build for the majority of the time I had it.
Now I have a Moto X Pure edition.

It’s huge. It’s a phablet. It also has this sort of gaudy exterior that looks worse in person. The one I handled at a verizon store had these gem-like bezels on the back that made it look really bad.

I appreciate the v10 but anyone will ask why you didnt go for two more cylinders. Like the Gallardo conflict, the option was there unless the driver could only afford ‘the one with the v10 in it’ when trying to buy in to the crowd. But, perhaps a v12 wasnt on the lot and the driver had to break the law with a woman he was to meet, only that very night, if he had enough left over casino chips and he could talk down her price, in the passenger seat. There are many reasons to like a v10. He likes a v10 for the extracirricular funds it allows the buyer after a big deal.
What are we discussing again?

I kinda have to agree with naurashaun here. You already have a G3. It really doesn’t seem like the specs are that much higher than the G3.
And I have a G3 now. The V10 is still kinda pricy and I don’t know if it’ll blow you away like you want it to.

Haha, I do prefer a V12, but unfortunately that’s not an option here ;)

Yeah, that was my initial impression as well... the G3 already has great specs, and I love it, so I might just hang on to it for a little while longer. Idk yet, I need to see what kind of deal(s) I can get on the V10 too.
