Figure it out yourself. I would say there are few if any bits of movie advice which apply so well to real life.

That’s true. Overconfidence is the death of many a driver, but indecisiveness can be almost as dangerous.
And yes, also true for life. Half-assed almost never turns out well.

“There is NO try”, not “NOT try”.
My biggest pet peeve is people who can’t grasp the concept of merging. The sign says yield, no surrender. That’s why I always want to be first on an on-ramp. I’ll be at (or above) the speed of the roadway by the time the curb disappers so I can merge effectively.

The worst thing is when the people in the right lane are going much slower than the actual speed limit, so by the time the on ramp is ending, I’m blowing by them on the right at the speed limit.
