!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
My dad wants me to cede the BMW over to my brother so I can have a more reliable car while I’m 200 miles away from home at school. We’re going to look at this tomorrow.
Thoughts on this gen Si or this one?

Can you find a RSX Type-S in this range locally? It’s got a better engine/trans than these did.

Better how?

yeah what hondabro said.......also VTEC!!
If you could find a RSX type s though..that’s also a solid choice

More power, higher redline, and a 6 speed over the EP3’s 5 speed.

It’s so rare to see one this stock, NP.

more power, 6 speed, and an LSD.
But EP3s are still awesome.

I’d really just use it for a 200 mile trip every few weekends and for hiking trips. A regular Civic would do just fine if they still had a hatch.
Not that into performance.

I guess my point is, if you can get the better model for the same money, why not get the better model?

That’s a good point.

Unless if I’m crazy, I know which neighborhood this is. Then again, most Cary neighborhoods look the same.

Than yes I do! I used to live all the way down Kildare, towards Holly Springs. Now I’m towards Highway 401 and Wake Tech.
Also, have you heard of Taggart Autosport?

Awesome college car. You can move a ton, which in college you will do. It’s my ‘66 mustang 6 cyl in the 21st century. That is a car that’s uber reliable and will last forever.
I know from personal experience. My wife bought from brand new a ‘02 Si. Now it is knocking on 200k miles and it still drives, looks and it’s interior is like new. And it still gets 6000 miles to the quart of Mobil 1. If you crawl underneath, it look like a 5 year old car which is a lot for salty Wisconsin. Them Brit’s built a great car.
Assuming it’s been adult driven and maintained, you will never get better, more fun, cheaper miles than that car for $6600.

I'm pretty sure they weren't LSD equipped from the factory

That's the best color to buy one in and the shifter location is supposed to be a real love it or hate it. I would think of it as a more appealing and value centered two door Fit.

Price is a little steep. You could snag a Civic Si from the generation after for not much more and that has standard LSD and more horsepower.

What would be a good price for this one?

If you do a bit of research, you will find that many find the EP3 more fun to drive than the rsx despite it being less powerful. I’ve had my ep3 for 3 years and I still look forward to driving it every single day.

4500-5500. I see Si coupes from the gen after go for 7-8k on my local CL so I’m a little hesitant to drop 6600 on an older model, especially one without 6th gear and the LSD.
