For $13,000 you can snag yourself this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with - get this - a 2.0 from a Porsche 914. That’s good for 30-40hp more than stock. Another mod is a deep-cycle RV battery rack said to run your electronics for almost a full day between charges.
All-in-all this appears to be a well done refresh job, by a devoted enthusiast, but is a 40-year-old camper van really worth 13 large to you?

I’m alwasy a little skeptical when I read “Porsche 914 engine” in these things.
Often it’s not.

As much as I hate these things with the burning passion of a thousand suns, and it would take long walk in cold rain/snow to make me choose one as a mode of transit above comfortable shoes, based on the absolute insanity and lack of regard for common sense in the westie/microbus/type2 market this appears to be a “Nice Price” even if the “914 engine” is just a tuned-up VW mill.

Shit, most 914s don’t have 914 engines.

They both used the same engines from 72 on. That was slow in a 914. I can’t imagine another 1000 lbs and worse aerodynamics.

Still only made ~70hp in the bus vs. high 90’s in the 914.
