Hey guys, new face here. When I was planning to go out with my friend today, I figured my car had a dead battery because I forgot to turn off the headlight 1 weeks ago lol... Yeah the car just parked there for one week’s time.

I wonder if there’s any chance of success if I try bump start? Or shall I just call a service truck and pay for my stupidity...?

A little throw back to when Honda was truly phenomenal.

Bump start wont work if the battery is dead. The ECU cant power up, or fire the coils and injectors. Try getting someone to jump start you with some jumper cables, or a jump box.

Also welcome.

A bump start is worth a shot. I’ve done it three times now, once to a NB1 Miata, then to a 2010 Corolla S, and finally a shifter cart. That said, you need to have a manual to do it.

Like someone else said you'll need to jump it. My driveway is a hill and I tried 3 times, had to pull out the cables after all. If the lights come on & dashboard is lit you have a chance. Other than that you need more juice.

You can try a bump start, bring your battery inside to a charger (computer UPS will work, or anything in the 14-20v range), or grab one of those jumper packs (the lithium ion ones are compact and as cheap as $50).

It might work if this is an older car.

These wheels are like GSR blades on a diet, I love them.

It’s an 04 and a manual, and it’s really simple mechanically. Unfortunately the dash even won’t light up when I turn the key to on position... Guess I have to pay for a little price ha

I was looking into li-ion jumper packs on Amazon. Hopefully that will work out.

Actually those wheels on SSM concept morphed into Japanese AP1’s optional wheels. Incredibly light, but at a hefty cost for stock rims. I believe it’s a popular choice among B stock autocrossers :D

In my opinion it looks so fabulous. I’d grab a set of these if I have an AP1

Definitely don’t call a truck. Buy one of these and it will be the same price http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-J5C09-…

Thanks for the input man. I bought a portable jumper pack and jump started the car, and eventually got car’s battery replaced. Turned out a battery cell is damaged by electricity drainage.

More interestingly, my car started misfiring a month ago, and two coils were replaced. Interested to see if these two events are correlated
