And I’m complaining about temp in the high 30s.

I’m dreaming of a white Thanksgiving, just like the ones I used to know.

Your property layout confuses me. You appear to be standing in front of your garage, but there’s a car parked perpendicular on what might be a street or L-shaped driveway, but then there’s a satellite dish on the street corner??

I know! I had a few things left to do before the first snow. I had to rush and do them this morning.

At least I'm not working today. Once the crazies crash, I'll have a go in my prix. Haven't driven this car in snow yet. Will be interesting...

It’s a bit cooler now. Temp in Celsius because not in the US. It snowed for like 2 mins this morning.

It is confusing. Pt cruiser and tractors are in the driveway, the prix is technically in the street...well, the middle of the street.

It’s a street that was blockaded 20+ years ago ( private community, they call the shots), because of the steep hill that goes straight toward a lake. Conditions (like now) would make it hard to drive on.

So now the road I live on just dead ends on my property. I treat it like a massive driveway, since most people think it is. It’s fantastic for guests, I think I can get about 6 cars on it before overflowing to the lawn.

The tree line below is the road blockade. Just behind it is the steep hill, that’s even steep enough to make walking on it difficult.

Kinja'd!!!

The satellite dish just happens to be at the corner of the two roads. Previous owners kept putting in new dishes because the trees were never trimmed. There are 4 more poles in the backyard I have yet to dig up.

Well, since it’s Michigan....it can drive 10 miles and the weather should be different. :)

I am thrilled that it’s snowing finally! I was not thrilled to have to drive from Downtown Chicago to the Northwest Suburbs and back this morning.

I’m gonna brave it and still not turn the heaters on tonight, I will get to December before using the heaters.

One year when I lived in SE Michigan, we had a foot of fresh snowfall on Thanksgiving Day. No snowmen were made though, because we were travelling to Detroit to spend the day with our extended family.

By the time Christmas rolled around that same year, all the snow had melted and everything was dead grass, leafless trees, and mud. I think it was even raining.

When you posted this, I was jealous because all we were supposed to get down here was rain, but then it snowed through most of my shift at work and we now have a light dusting. Kind of made my night, even if I had to deliver food in it.

Sounds like MI. Growing up, some years it didn’t snow until after my bday.....which is in March.

That sounds about right. Then some years you get freak snowfalls in October, of course.

Two winters ago (er, the winter of 2013), was my first Michigan winter in 7 years, and it was my first winter in 5 years (2 years in IL, 5 in FL). Needless to say, I was very out of practice. Despite growing up in MI, I had to learn fast. Still ended up in the ditch more than I cared for, lol. That winter was a very long hazing.

If I remember right, the pre-December winters didn't happen to much. But I lived out of state for 7 years, so it's hard to judge.

That’s right. I have a mid-November birthday and I always wanted snow on my birthday but rarely got it.
