So OPPO / Jalop has long drawn a crowd for those faithful to the Miata. Recently there seems to be an uptick in the ‘I bought a Miata’ posts. So here’s a fun survey about you and your Miata, or lack there of.

If you do not, or have not owned a Miata, go no further.

Behold my NA, the most fun $3550 I ever spent! I was too afraid to track a 17-year old car with my limited cash. But I learned to heel-toe in it. I sold it to my neighbor 2 years ago, and he taught both his kids to drive stick on it. I still see them driving it around town, and I still miss it!

Ill take it. I have been contemplating one of those as well as it will compliment my 79 124 properly.

I dd’d an NB for three years of rain, snow, wind and fire in the UK. Always put a smile on my face.
Why did I get rid of it? In its final year with me it was driven into on 5 seperation occasions, 4 without any notes left or anything. It began to rust due to the sheer quantity of salt on the roads here and the harsh punishment of the road on my old commute ate tyres and I was tired of not being able to take anyone anywhere or carry things.
I now own a 2005 mk5 GTI which is great in many ways but it’s not the same as a my NB. When I move further into engineering and start earning a decent amount I’ll get back into one as a second car that I can go crazy with.

That’d look nice in the driveway. Wouldn't both cars do the same job though? How would you choose?!

I test drove an ND for grins and could definitely see myself buying one some day (when a well-kept one can be had for $10-15k).
