R/C simulator. For training the cadets before I request a real model plane. This thing is not easy to fly...

The only way I’ll fly 3d helicopters...cause screw repairs.

So it’s like Flight Simulator, but if the planes were put in the dryer for a bit too long.

Don’t fly ‘em if you don’t want to crash ‘em.

I love these pre unibody MBPs.

Except for the lack of a first-person perspective.

I spend 20 minutes on this thing every time I visit the hobby shop. It’s fairly realistic, given that everything is happening on a screen. It WILL make you a better pilot.
Good luck!

It’s an absolutely awesome machine. I picked it up for about $5 at the Goodwill outlet, replaced the screen, bought a power supply and have been running it as my main notebook for several months now. I just swapped the HD (I can get to the guts of this machine in minutes now and know where every screw goes) and dual boot between Windoze7 and El Capitan. At this point I just need an SSD and it will be just about perfect and ready to use for another 7 years.

Well, I want to minimize the possibility of crashes, and perhaps get the crashing fun out of their systems before we move on to the real thing. The ones that CAP provides are pretty rugged, but I’d rather not find out how tough they really are.
