My initial thought too, but then got to thinking. Aero is what Colani did.
In that image it doesn’t look open at the bottom. Maybe an early development car, before it was cut? Open but covered in mesh?
Long before Colin Chapman and other designers did it, Colani conceived prototypes with the whole body designed as a converted wing. He called it the C-Form (C = Colani) and his principle was patented in Munich by “Deutsches Patentamt” on November 25, 1967 . Stern magazine published an article on the C-Form principle the following year.

You should take that as a compliment. Yes, Colani and his designs were strange, but he was successful and did many things no one had done before. An artist and an engineer. Should we discourage trying new things? The world needs more people like him.
