Stop naming normal storms. You know who expects snow? The Midwest in the winter. Snow is of absolutely zero surprise. The only potential surprise is we haven’t had more yet.

You know when that snow hits it will be a total shit show. People forget how to deal with snow sometime in June.

FiOS got rid of The Weather Channel so it may as well not exist for me anymore (prefer wunderground for internet weather...more data easily accessible).

At least if they’re going to name the winter storms, they should make up their own names to avoid confusion with the hurricane lists. Gronash. Acmelthius. Trovag. Snokothar. Nifteq. Smolin. If they enlarge or worsen, they can add prefixes or suffixes. Winter Storm Mighty Tuskag the Smiter? HIDE YO WIFE HIDE YO KIDS

When I hear names for storms, I associate with any pets I knew by that name.
Bella was my sisters dog she got when a vet tech and had to bottle feed it from only after a few days old. That was over 10 years ago. Although she did just put her down a few months ago after a few health problems. They got a puppy right away after.

At this point I’m actually hoping IBM just shuts it all down.

Don’t care what the corporate structure is as long as I get my tables in a click or two and I’m not bombarded with ‘human interest’ stories guzzied up as weather news.
If it gets bad, I’ll look elsewhere.

WTF! There is nothing rare about heavy snow in November in the Midwest
Last year I shoveled my roof before Thanksgiving. Shoveling the roof was unusual, but was because they were predicting rain over Thanksgiving and we had a lot of snow already.
