Russian cosmonaut Vladimir Komarov was heard by a US listening post in turkey yelling over the radio com in rage upon reentry because the parachutes failed and can be heard saying there’s heat you’ve killed me in the recording

Why did you remind me of something so terrible, just forgot after reading about it Monday

Thanks. Figured it would be something on Oppo. Guess that's why I didn't hear of it.

Wow. That’s terrible. Amazing self-sacrifice and love on Komarov’s part. Brezhnev deserved that drink to the face.

Poor man knew for months that it was damned. Such a crazy read for a bus ride this week. Crazy story

Fascinating, yet so very typical of the era.

Really must have been a wild time to be a engineer/pilot in either country. I’m just here applying got eng positions at a tv company and a steel foundry

There’s also the two Italian brothers who claim have recorded communications from eight or nine cosmonauts who died either in orbit or in reentry. It’s debatable how authentic the recordings are tough.
