I can’t see the tweet due to work filters, but have you seen the track layout? It’s an oval with some chicanes, and the planner sneezed when they nearly completed the loop. Luckily, Formula E races have been pretty fun regardless of track layout (at least the races I've seen).

Wow how narrow is the track going to be squeezed at the entrance/exit to the stadium section?

Ah, so it was included in that tweet. I thought it was a very funny layout.

Formula E has fantastic opportunities to develop amazing street circuits, but the designs thus far can be boiled down to: straight, chicane, straight, turn, straight, chicane, straight, turn, straight, chicane, straight, turn, straight, chicane, straight, turn.
And they can’t really carry any speed into the stadium section because of the prior chicane... and because they’re not that fast.

Maybe they add all the chicanes for brake regeneration. Its evolving. i’m actually glad they’ll be on a real circuit. Maybe there will be more overtakes.
