Hello, Sir Autohaus Derp! You’ll love it here on Oppo. And no need to apologize for the self-whoring, your Miata looks excellent.

If you insist! So I have the Camaro over here in Michigan (moved out in the summer this year) - I bought it 10 days after getting off the plane, lol.I then proceeded to take it on Rally North America, and for all sorts of adventures and road trips.

The MX-5, sadly, currently looks like this, since she is in storage back in the UK

Here are some of my other pictures I have to hand of her though, from happier times. As you might guess, when I mod my cars I tend to focus on the little details.

both of those are insanely clean, the Camaro looks a tiny bit better with the decals on it though, is it a 5 speed? whats mods do you plan on for the Camaro?

and it sucks to hear about you having to leave the Miata behind, but wouldn’t you be able to bring it over since it has a us counterpart? (im a little behind on reading most of the import laws)

Thanks, the MX-5 has done 70,000km (40ish k miles), and the Camaro has done 28k, so the condition reflects their use!

The Camaro is indeed a 5 speed. Plans are to put it on some firmer suspension, wider wheels, and then swap a big block in.

Unfortunately the substanitally similar clause requires a lot of safety features - airbags, ABS etc, which that car does not have, it is a japanese import (so it is officially a Eunos Roadster) making it harder still to certify than a Euro mx-5.

wow that’s not many miles at all...

There is a third gen forum that would be good to join so you can see what other people have done and what works, a big block will be a really tight fit in there (had a 91 firbird and changing plugs and wires was already tight) but you could always build up a small block to the level that you want, and keep less weight off the front, there is a guy that runs a club in southern California with basically just a full suspension Camaro and he beats corvettes around twistys

that makes a little more sense, atleast when you can import it you will have something really unique!

The logic behind a big block would be not because it is easy, but becasue it is hard, plus I figure I won’t get many more opportunities to own a 7.0L+ car in my life! Plus, being spoiled by MX-5s means this will never need to be a car that handles well to me, it just needs be ridiculous, loud and american.

I cant wait to have the MX-5 over here, partly because that will be its third country of registration, but mostly because it means so much to me and my Dad, who imported it from Japan.
