There is never a bad time for Rancheros.
A customer just picked this up for $1500. The 351 needs a carb rebuild because it’s just pouring fuel into the intake, but other than a shitty repaint, a couple of spots of primer, and wear to the seats it looks solid. And it has cutouts so it makes all kinds of noise, and is my favorite old Ford color. Dig it:

He said it was a ‘69. I don’t know what the trim differences are, if any.

I admit, there was a part of me that wondered what Zoolander gif you’d use for this.

Very nice for a 1968-69 Ranchero. He stole it at that price.

Yes, it’s always a good time for Rancheros

That doesn’t belong in your shop, unless its getting a S85 swap....

Don’t you tell my Fairlane that! It belongs because I say it does! The S85 is one of those engines that does amazing things and looks good on paper but is actually a mess. I’ll take a 351 all day. Simple, effective, and anything I could ever need for it is available at NAPA or Summit.

Lol, it was the only BMW engine worthy of a Ranchero. Your Fairlane can have a M279.

My dad had one of those, did well in the snow. If you loaded about 250lbs of sandbags in back.
