Congratulations for driving on the freeway, it’s quite the accomplishment. You now own the entire thing and have the right - no, the DUTY - to protect it from any and all invaders. If you’re not policing the left lane for those who dare to drive near the speed limit, then you’re hanging out in the right lane and protecting the freeway from the people of the onramp. How dare anyone try to merge onto YOUR road into YOUR lane?
Seriously though, why can’t people around here merge? The mergers go way too slow and try to merge way to early and the mergees do everything possible to prevent anyone from merging. PNW drivers are so timid or distracted in every other driving maneuver except for letting people in to their lane. Then they decide to be aggressive.
The Seahawks deserved to lose! Your beard looks ridiculous! I’m not impressed that you drive a hybrid! Sometimes I don’t compost my leftover food! REM is the worst!

PNW drivers, who eat, sleep, and breathe rain, can’t fucking drive in the rain.

Having lived in Seattle (with regular trips to Portland and Vancouver) and now living in the DC area and regularly commuting in Boston and San Fran...you've got it good up there...count your blessings.

They sound a lot like Michigan drivers who can’t drive in snow.

Yeah, you’d expect them to be a regular Ben Collins in their element, but they just aren't.

PNW drivers: “uh-oh, there is a slight curve on I5 a mile ahead of me, I better slow down to 15 below the speed limit in anticipation of that scary curve”
I just moved from PNW, the merging there is way better than here in the Southeast where most people come to an almost stop while merging, but then when they get on the highway they go 15 over (the latter being fine with me).

Drives me nuts, it’s even completely flat here. I sincerely don’t understand their issue.

R.E.M. is from Georgia. Just saying.

SERIOUSLY! That ramp is your opportunity to match traffic and why doesn’t everyone understand how to zipper-merge? I used to have to drive from North Beach to Mercer Island at 3pm. The rage. So much rage.

Consider it collateral damage

I consider all ramps my opportunity to prove that Miatas aren’t slow lol.

I typically consider all traffic as trying to kill me. Nobody is going to do anything right, I cannot rely on anyone to move out of my way or stay in their lanes, and all intersections are assumed to be chaos. Once you start thinking that way, every time something happens to go right, you end up seeing the positives instead. I try my best to follow the rules and do things right regardless, but I don't fret the stupid people because I just assume everyone is stupid.
